Terri and Ezra move one step closer to the 21st century!

OK, perhaps that’s not quite right. I mean, we do live in 2008 with the rest of you. Now, like most of you, we have a functioning refrigerator. It arrived today. Much as I expected, it’s a lot like when we got our new dishwasher. It just seems like it’s going to be so much better than our old one. It seems to hold a little more, it’s MILES more energy efficient (apparently it’s off the low end of the chart in terms of energy usage), it’s brighter inside, and it has movable buckets on the doors and shelves that slide in and out. Oh, and we got the bottom freezer kind. It just seems to make sense.

There’s nothing like putting your magnets on a new fridge.

Fridge-collage is a terribly underappreciated art. And there is also somthing completely satisfying about a full fridge, packed with delicious meals to be made.

    okay, random comments over!

Not random! I’m sort of enjoying having a little less on the fridge. I mean, don’t get me wrong–my New Yorker cat cartoons and the last Calvin and Hobbes strip are still up there! But it was getting a bit crowded with old junk. A fresh slate is very appealing! (Not to mention a fresh slate INSIDE the fridge and freezer…)

    It’s q u i e t, too. And it seems to run less.

Though having a working refrigerator pretty much gets us solidly updated to the middle of the 20th century.

We HAD a 20th century fridge. It stopped working and was ugly. Now we have a 21st century fridge.

Wow, this is great news! I can’t wait to see it. Did you get the hinge situation figured out? You know the way the door opens. Hey, Happy Birthday to Ezra!!!
