Knitting update

So that picture I posted below of the beginning of an intricately cabled scarf?  Well, I do love that cable pattern, but I have come to the realization that I just don’t have enough yarn to use it for that particular scarf.  So… I’ve pulled it out and started over with a different, simpler cable pattern.  I don’t like it as much, to be honest, but I think it may work out better in the end.

I just have to weave in the ends on the friendly-stash-raid-scarf I made from the yarn that Amy so very generously donated to my cause.  It’s plush and fabulous and I remain woefully indebted.

After all of that, I think it’s going to be time for me to get back to one of the sweaters I’ve started.  I think the one for Ezra is next up.

And now I have to go out and enjoy some of this sweater weather.

And… she’s back!

I got a new laptop (yay!), and the switchover briefly slowed me down in various computer-related pursuits, like blogging.  I’m back in action now, though.

Because of the delay I haven’t had a chance to blog about going to Game 7 of the ALCS (it was great fun and totally made up for the fact that the only other game we attended this season was a Red Sox loss), our visit with friends Kyle and Julie from Minnesota (they came here), and Halloween, which I spent in Back Bay having dinner with my lovely friend Sarah who was down from Portland.

There’s lots going on and lots I have to do… more bloginations coming soon.
