5/9/06 Hail Social w/Army of Me at Great Scott in Allston

Tuesday, May 9th.  Show starts at 9PM.  It’s 18+ and tickets are $8.  Ez and I will be there at least long enough to see Hail Social.  You probably heard them the last time you were at our house, and you probably liked them and thought, “Wow–who is this?”  They are really good live and it seems Boston has not yet figured this out.  Come see them!  And me!

    Oh, sorry — I just saw this now. Not that I’d be much up for musical outings after a very very long and horrid workday (and two days in a row of waking at 4:30 a.m.). That said, I hope you young whippersnappers had fun. And I hope they got a sizable crowd this time around.

    Alas, the crowd was small again (the weather being “craptastic” and their set once again being late on a school night), but the people who were there did seem into it, so that was good. They played three new songs, which were all quite enjoyable, along with the old favorites. We also heard a NY band, Shelby, who were pretty good. Maybe next time they’ll come on a Friday or Saturday–or even a Thursday!
