Notable Tofu Experiences
I came across two very enjoyable tofu experiences in the space of three days. It’s worth sharing with you. First, there was the organic tofu yumminess at The Elephant Walk in Cambridge on Sunday. THAT was really good… spicy and fresh with crisp vegetables. MMMMmmm. (Incidentally, I really liked their downstairs bar, which still brings back memories for me of the early Terri and Ezra days at Finnegan’s Wake, and I see us going there a lot in the future.) Then last night Ez and I ordered in from East Asia in Powderhouse Circle. I got the Royal Tofu. I had read that their tofu is especially worth trying because they make it themselves. My Royal Tofu lived up to the hype. It didn’t look like much, but then I started to actually eat it. So good! The tofu is very fresh, springy, and porous. It soaks up the sauce and is just really yummy. On the strength of the Royal Tofu (just one of at least 4 tofu offerings on their menu!), East Asia is a new order-in favorite.

Tofu goodness

Thanks for the tofu takeout tip! Looks like East Asia also has some interesting Thai dishes, too. We’re always in the market for new places that deliver.
